About Michael...

Michael is an Assistant Professor of Accounting in the School of Business at Maynooth University. He is a Chartered Accountant and lectures in financial management, management accounting and financial accounting. Michael comes from a farming background, which ignited his research interests in the agricultural industry in which he completed his PhD. Michael is an experienced researcher and disseminates his research at national and international conferences. He has published his research in leading national and international peer-reviewed journals. He has also won an award for his research and was successful in securing research funding to assist in the completion of his doctorate.

Michael’s role in this project is acting as the lead researcher, developing and guiding the research papers for the participating farmers in conjunction with OG partners, establishing the relevant questions and areas to be evaluated, and responsible for the farmer interviews at the beginning and end of the process, data analysis and provision of this information to the OG and compiling final research data for inclusion in the final project report.
